Firstly open up the Microsoft database utility located at:
ApplicationsMicrosoft Office 2011Office

Click on option the Microsoft database utility

After clicking select option Main Identity

In the pop up menu Press button quit all

To rebuild Mac Outlook database firstly close all running application

Firstly open up the Microsoft database utility located at:

Click on option the Microsoft database utility

After clicking select option Main Identity

In the pop up menu Press button quit all

There are chances after clicking on the option there will be a message screen displaying message 'There is a problem with office database. To use the database, you must rebuild it using database utility'

Click on button Rebuild

Note: Wait till process get complete and make sure you are not using any Office application during database rebuilding time.

Press button done labeled as 'Done'

Now is time to delete database backup. Press delete button

Click and highlight the backup database and click the - button to delete.

There will be a conform notification for deletion of backup.

Restart Outlook.

I had the same problem it fixed it as follows.
1)Send the image that you want to use to some one that has outlook on a pc.
2)Ask them to place this image in their signature in outlook. (This will create the right formatting and code within the email for the signature to work(according to outlook))
3) Ask them now to send you an email with this signature attached ( the modified one with your signature image)
4) Open the email from your friend that sent you back your signature image. Wipe over the image to select it then copy.
5)Open Preferences in mac mail. go to signature section were you want to place the image
6) Past into the mac mail signature pain.
Job Done.
